Overview
Worldwide Reptile Super Survey was a project from Responsible Reptile Keeping and The Federation of British Herpetologists. The goal was to collect detailed, global data on reptile keeping to support better-informed policy decisions.
What we built
- A dynamic, in-depth survey flow with detailed response capture
- A platform designed for high traffic during heavy promotion periods
- A fully responsive experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile
Project outcome
- Open to keepers of all experience levels
- Distributed through social media, forums, and influencer channels
- 99.999% uptime during operation
Context
This was a public-facing survey with an international audience, so the build needed to be straightforward for first-time users and reliable under sudden traffic spikes. The question set was intentionally detailed, which meant the experience had to balance depth of data collection with a clear, low-friction flow.
Because the survey was shared across multiple channels, including social media, forums, and influencer networks, people arrived with different levels of technical confidence and on different devices. The platform was built to stay consistent across desktop, tablet, and mobile so that response quality was not dependent on device type.
Delivery approach
We focused on a robust core experience: dynamic survey logic, dependable performance during promotion windows, and clear response capture throughout. That approach helped keep the platform stable while still handling an in-depth questionnaire.
The project ran from April 2024 to January 2025, ending with a delivered platform that achieved 99.999% uptime during operation.

Timeline: Initiated in April 2024 and delivered in January 2025.
Status: The project has now closed.
