The Reptile Keeper was initiated to provide a comprehensive solution for reptile and exotic pet keepers. It is a web-based application designed to make day-to-day care tracking practical, accessible, and reliable.

Feature set
The Reptile Keeper includes a fully-featured account system and operational tooling, including Multi-Factor Authentication, Stripe subscriptions, real-time updates, account sharing, and a home-grown analytics platform.
The application is built with Ruby on Rails and a React front-end, giving us a stack that supports both rapid iteration and long-term maintainability.
Timeline: Initiated in August 2023 and delivered in February 2024.
Ownership: Full Fat Software owns and operates The Reptile Keeper.
Our role
We are reptile keepers ourselves, and the product was primarily written for our own use before being released publicly. That direct usage shaped both the feature priorities and the practical usability of the platform.
